Answers use the same data and method as above.

How we rank (n ≥ 20, shrinkage, 5% trim)
  • Real-world figures only with ≥ 20 cars, each with ≥ 3 months of data
  • Scores pulled towards the segment average so thin samples can't jump to the top
  • Top & bottom 5% dropped, anomalies filtered
  • Not enough data: projected by the CarCost engine (1,500 km/month, cash, HCMC fees)
  • No payment to add, hide or reorder anything

Which MPVs are cheapest per km in 2026?
In the data updated Oct 12, 2026, Wuling Grango ranks first with ₫6,090/km, followed by VinFast Limo Green (₫7,260/km) and VinFast VF MPV 7 (₫7,600/km).
Why are some cars marked “Projected”?
When fewer than 20 cars of a model share data, CarCost estimates it with the engine on standard assumptions: 1,500 km/month, cash purchase, HCMC fees. The model switches to “Real-world” once there is enough data.
How is true cost per km different from fuel/charging cost?
True cost per km is all the cash you spend (energy, maintenance, tyres, fees, insurance) divided by the km driven, plus the car's loss of value per km. Fuel or charging is only part of it.
Can car brands pay to rank higher?
No. CarCost does not sell positions and every board uses the same public method. A row under review may be hidden temporarily, which never changes the other cars' ranks.
